I have promised a few friends this bread recipe and the easiest way to get it to them all is to blog it. If you haven't ever been successful at making bread, try this recipe- I swear you can't mess it up:
4 cups of warm water
½ cup sugar
1 T. salt
1/3 cup oil
2 T. yeast
4 cups flour
Mix all together and then let it rest for 20 minutes. Add more flour until you have a sticky dough and then let it rest for another 20 minutes. Add more flour and knead until smooth. Put into a bread pan and let it rise for about 20 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Rub the tops of the loaves with butter immediately after taking them out of the oven.
ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!

Our Kitchen Remodel
Just a fun little video of our kitchen. It was a bit stressful at times eating anything that could be made in a microwave, and eaten on paper plates so that you didn't have too many dishes to wash in the bathtub, HOWEVER, IT WAS WELL WORTH IT!

I had good intentions
I was just telling Autumn that I had started a blog, but hadn't done anything with it for two months. That was FOUR months ago. I am going to try and do better. We've had an exciting month with the sewer backing up yet again, only to finally discover that out leech (sp?) feild has gone bad and has to be redone, to our basement flooding without any explanation, and finally our car breaking down. BUT on the bright sight, no one is seriously ill and we are able to pay for the necessary repairs and that is a huge blessing!! Our family continues to grow-up faster than I am ready for, but I look forward with anticipation to the coming years.

a new leaf
Trying something new After looking at friends blogs last night, I decided to give blogging a try! It seems like a great way to get and keep in touch with family and friends who are far away. The journals that accompany the pictures are amazing and priceless, and seem like a great way to begin what I have procrastinated for the last 14 yrs...
